Is recurring house cleaning worth it for a busy family?
Yes. For a busy household, recurring house cleaning is worth it: the weekend stops disappearing into chores, and the house gets back to clean before the next week starts. You get the same standard checklist on a schedule, weekly, every other week or every 4 weeks, so the floors, kitchen and bathrooms get done whether or not you found the time.
At Tina's, that's Standard House Cleaning on a schedule. We call it Recurring House Cleaning, RoutineCare Plans.
Who is recurring cleaning really for?
It fits the household where the week is already full before it starts. Two working parents. Kids with practice three nights a week and games on Saturday. A house that hosts the birthday parties and the holiday dinner. The cleaning isn't hard.
One thing that helps: a cleaning works on surfaces that are clear. If every counter is covered, the first fix is a sort, and that one is yours.
How often should you schedule it?
There's no right answer for every house.
Standard House Cleaning can be booked weekly, every other week, every 4 weeks or twice a year, as well as one time.
If you're torn, look at how the house feels on day 10 after a cleaning. If it's already back to where it started, go more often.
What gets done on every visit?
Each visit follows the Standard House Cleaning checklist, RoutineCare.
Throughout the home: floors vacuumed and mopped, reachable surfaces and furniture dusted, counters, shelves and tables wiped where they're clear of clutter, mirrors and glass surfaces cleaned, and window sills and ledges wiped.
Kitchen: countertops and backsplash, sink and faucet, the stovetop, range exterior and hood exterior, the exterior of the appliances that are present, the inside of the microwave, the table and chairs, and cabinet and drawer fronts spot wiped.
Bathrooms: the toilet inside, outside and at the base, the tub, shower and tiled walls, shower door glass and tracks, fixtures and drains, the sink, counter and faucet, vanity and cabinet fronts, mirrors and floors.
Laundry area, where there is one: washer and dryer exteriors, the utility sink, counters and shelves, and the floor.
Standard supplies and equipment are provided for the service selected.
What isn't on a standard visit?
On Standard House Cleaning, baseboards are usually skipped and dusted on request, and light switches, door knobs and handles are on request. Ask before your appointment and we'll do our best to fit it in if time allows. Doors and door frames, reachable ceiling fans and light fixture exteriors, and cobweb removal aren't on the standard checklist. Those are all on Deep Cleaning, PureRenewal, where every item on the list is cleaned whether or not it looks like it needs it.
Organizing, sorting or decluttering possessions aren't on any of our cleaning checklists.
Will the same cleaner come every time?
We try to keep continuity when schedules allow, but the same cleaner is not promised for every visit.
Tina's coordinates cleanings with vetted, background-checked, insured cleaning professionals, and stays your central contact for booking, communication, payment and customer support.
How do you prepare for each visit?
- Pick up the night before. Ten minutes putting toys, mail and laundry away means counters, shelves and tables are clear, and that's where the cleaning goes.
- Ask early for small extras. Need one small thing done while we're there? Tell us before your appointment and we'll do our best to fit it in if time allows. Bigger jobs are add-ons you pick when you book. The inside fridge add-on needs the fridge emptied first and doesn't include the freezer, and the inside oven add-on needs the self-clean cycle run first.
- Leave access notes. Entry, alarm, parking, pet and lock-up instructions can be provided in advance, so you don't need to be home.
What happens if something gets missed?
Tina's Guarantee: if something in your booked scope was missed, walk through before the cleaner leaves and tell us, so it can be fixed on the spot. If you notice it later, contact us within 24 hours and we'll send a cleaner back to re-clean it at no charge, or take care of it at your next scheduled cleaning. If that falls on a weekend, call the next business day and it still counts. Call the office at (609) 831-4455 rather than the cleaner, so we can sort it out properly.
How do price, payment and changes work?
- Price is based on home size, cleaning type, current condition, frequency, selected add-ons, and reserved time where it applies. The booking form calculates your price from your details before you submit.
- Booking: submitting the form sends a booking request. The appointment is confirmed after the details are reviewed and an available cleaning professional is matched.
- Payment: 48 hours before each cleaning, a temporary preauthorization is placed on the card to secure the appointment. It's a hold, not a charge. The card is charged once the cleaning is complete.
- Changes: cancel or reschedule free of charge more than 24 hours before the appointment. Inside 24 hours, a late cancellation is $60 and a late reschedule is $30.
- Commitment: no long-term contracts.
What's TinaCare+, and is it the same thing?
No. TinaCare+ is a deal, not a service. It's one way to start recurring cleaning: a 3-visit introductory plan where visit 1 gets the deep-clean upgrade at the discounted first-clean price and visits 2 and 3 are recurring maintenance, with no long-term contract after visit 3. If the plan is canceled before all 3 visits are completed, the remaining difference between the discounted first-clean price and the regular first-clean price becomes due. See the terms on the TinaCare+ page.
